Born and raised in downtown Brooklyn, she went to school in her native borough.
Also a homemaker, Ms. Kelleher worked for many years as an administrator in the security department at New York University, Manhattan. She retired in 1991 and moved to Maine.
She began dividing her time between Fort Wadsworth and Maine in 2000.
Ms. Kelleher was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion in Maine.
She was a friend of Bill W. for more than 30 years, family said.
Ms. Kelleher enjoyed reading, but she most loved working on her house in Maine and decorating it to make it beautiful, warm and inviting.
"She was a very spiritual person, very loving, and very energetic. She was deeply involved with helping people," said her son, Thomas Cush.
"She was especially close to her brother, Leonard Kelleher, and her sister-in-law, Mariann Justvig," he added.
Ms. Kelleher was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Rosebank.
Her former husband, Thomas Cush, died in 2010.
Surviving, along with her son, Thomas, and her brother, Leonard, are her son, Matthew Cush; her daughter, Julianna Naftell; her brothers, Robert P. Burke and James Kelleher, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
