Joanne R. Olsen was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 26, 1935, and passed away on March 14, 2020 after a lengthy illness. She was a registered nurse, who worked at Seaview Nursing Home and then Coney Island Hospital, where she was the head of the CCU and ICU units, before becoming the Director of Nursing Services for the entire hospital.
Joanne loved to travel, visiting many areas of the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
She was married for 47 years to the late James Olsen, who passed away in 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Stock of Slatington, PA and Kristine Lopez, of Bayshore, NY, her grandchildren, Kaitlyn and James Stock, and her brother, Charles Murphy.
