Jean K. Allen

She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, George. She is also survived by her son Jerry, daughter Margaret Behar, son-in-law Seth and grandsons Patrick Allen and Liam Cox. Jean was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Ann Allen (April 2019).

Jean was born in 1930 in Queens, NY. She moved to Staten Island in the 1950s and had lived in the same home for 60+ years.

Jean was very active in Catholic Church activities. Among them the Altar Rosary Society, Mother's Club, teaching of CCD and the RCIA program. She was also very active and a core member in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Charismatic prayer group. She and her husband also held Bible Study in their home for many years.

Jean loved to travel. Some of the places she, her husband and family visited were Ireland, Hawaii, Germany and Austria.

Due to the current Covid crisis, a viewing will not be held. A funeral Mass will take place at 11:15 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church (5411 Amboy Rd.) on Friday, January 22nd. Followed by a burial at Resurrection Cemetery at 12:30. A memorial service will be held in the future.
