We met Anne and George in 1987 and we have been very good friends ever since then.  We would alternate hanging out at their home or our home eating and drinking having a grand old time! We also have gatherings with the families whether it's a birthday gathering, a wedding anniversary or a BBQ...... it was always a fun time! We did some travelling together including Israel where we had an unforgettable great time! 
We still can't believe that our friend George is gone but he is in our hearts and we will always  remember his generosity, his laughter and his compassion for others!

I have many good memories of George from Back in the Day "70s" in the East Village where he was the Good Neighbor to many. There he was also the "we have to keep the block clean" Guy & he was helpful to everyone. Once George moved we were lucky to run into him in the neighborhood & when he popped by to wish us Happy Holidays.
George remained a good Friend calling to check up on my mother Lillie & sister Linda & to wish me Happy Birthdays- last time was last October. I will miss that.  Rest in Peace Dear George.

Uncle George was quite the character and I have nothing but fond memories of him. He was always laughing and his laugh was contagious! During family reunions he was the kind of the ring leader and I know we all looked up to him. I remember being a child and thinking how “cool” he was, with him and Aunt Anne touring around on motorcycles and all of their travel stories. After Uncle Doug + Aunt Loris wedding in Florida, we were all staying at hotels near each other, and one morning I remember him *needing* a bagel, and walking across the street looking in search. I just remember thinking the combination of willingness to walk + need for a bagel must be “what New Yorkers are like” :) 

It was also memorable seeing him, my grandmother Cornelia, and their sister Carolyn together at one family reunion.

My condolences are with Anne and the rest of my family in New York, and my grandmother Cornelia.

I have enjoyed his company since 1999.  He brought joy and laughter each and every time we have  met.
I am genuinely sorry for your loss. No condolence message can express how much your Dad meant to me and how sad I am about your loss.

Growing up, whenever Great "Uncle Georges" name was mentioned the whole room lit up. Memories triggering smiles all around. With our family in Atlanta and George and Anne in New York, we didn't get to spend much time together Uncle George outside of large family events. But the times spent with him during those occasions were always eventful. He was the person everyone was waiting on to pull up and greet. The most memorable moment, and maybe one of the first I can recall of him, was when he rode into the family reunion on a fold up bicycle out of the blue. Just the coolest... He was a conductor of good energy and it was contagious. He will continued to be loved,  and will be missed dearly. My condolences and love to Anne and the Family, and to my Grandmother Cornelia. 

George was the most generous man we knew.  He gave of his time to anyone who needed help.  It was always, "Yes, how can I help you?"  He and his wife Anne were members of our Holy Child Renew and Scripture Groups.  George studied the Bible and turned its words into action.  He was a faithful disciple of Jesus.
We will miss his smile and sense of humor.  He was dedicated to his wife Anne and his family.  George was truly a faithful Christian and Patriot.

George was an incredible person. He always supported me and the neighborhood watch team. Anything I needed he was always there with his pick up truck. One of a kind.  His effort for the community will be missed greatly. Rest easy my friend 

George was a bigger than life individual. With Anne at his side he embraced, with gusto, the life he led. George and Eric were responsible for getting Carol and I into scuba diving and snorkeling. We did scuba diving and snorkeling trips with George and Anne as well as Eric and Donna in the Bahamas other Caribbean islands and Mexico. We dove with sharks and other marine creatures close enough to count teeth and touch.   It was a wonderful gift we enjoyed for many years and will never forget.  George also taught us how to launch champagne bottle missiles.....but that's another story.  We will miss you big guy. Save us a couple of seats at your table.   Dave & Carol
