Born Francine Coniglio in Brooklyn, she moved to Castleton Corners in 1968.
She had a 20-year career in bookkeeping with the former Staten Island Amusement Machine Company, Rosebank. She retired in 2003.
She was a parishioner of St. Rita's R.C. Church, Meiers Corners, where she was a volunteer and member of the Ladies Guild. She was also volunteered for the Staten Island Mental Health Society.
In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her granddaughters.
"She was a wonderful mother, fantastic sister and the best grandmother two little girls could hope to have," said her son, John Basuino Jr.
Surviving, in addition to her son, John, are her sister, Andrea Zurlo, and two granddaughters.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Rita's Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
