From CYO Basketball to middle school adventures to having beers in college. Bernie was a Truly like a brother. What was his, was also his friends. I always felt welcome in the  veneziano house.  Was always able to count on him for his quick wit and jokes. If we were walking home up hill and in the snow, He would be right along side you. I feel so deeply for Bernard's loved ones. He and I hadn't spoken since elementary school at PS 30, but the news of his passing breaks my heart. Bernard had a uniquely warm and vibrant personality, and he was beloved by classmates and teachers for the way he brightened up a room. I'll always remember his sweet smile and the way he made us laugh.  It's hard to comprehend his loss. My sincerest condolences.

I worked with Bernard - he was such a pleasure to talk to and work with. He had an amazing personality, and I always looked forward to our interactions. His smile and his positive energy will be dearly missed. 

Bernard and I worked together at ProSight. We met at a happy hour amongst co-workers in Morristown and instantly bonded over Staten Island (because that’s where I grew up.) He was such a gentleman and walked me to my car as I came alone. That’s the type of person Bernard was; performing acts of kindness with only the purest intentions. He was truly a genuine soul, and was warm & friendly towards everyone he came into contact with. It may sound silly, but we once had a whole conversation about Alfonso’s Pastry Shoppe- so next time I visit Staten Island, that’s one of the places I’ll be going and ordering something in his memory. I know he’d appreciate that. My sincerest condolences to his family and close friends. May his light live on in your hearts.

I am so saddened to hear this traumatic circumstance. I was Bernard’s  first grade Teacher. He is one of those students who will forever be unforgettable; Charismatic, smart, eager, intuitive,  etc... the list goes on. I’ve been teaching now for many years, but Bernard and family sticks out in my memory. He was such a wonderful boy with the most awesome family. I am here for all of you and so saddened by this. I have watched Bernard grow up surrounded by his loving family.
He would always be the first up on his feet to greet you when you walked in the room. He made sure you were given a seat & offered you his friendship.
The close bond between him, Amanda  & Annamarie is a great testament to values Antoinette & Bernard instilled in their children.

Bernard and I were in the same class from 6th grade till the end of high school. I always appreciated Bernard and have only positive memories of him. He was a charismatic, funny and intelligent individual. I remember laughing at his jokes, being impressed by his witty, creative and intellectual remarks, and looking up to his level of confidence. We were in the same AP physics class and there was a time we had to design a rocket made of bottles that we were going to launch. Although ours ended up being a failure of a design in terms of being a practical rocket, it produced the best spectacle and everyone had a good laugh because of it. There were many such memorable instances that we had over the years, and I'm glad I got to know Bernard through them.

When we would converse, he always had something of substance to talk about and I really liked that quality of his. We had immense respect for each other, and I really appreciated that dynamic in a friend. I distinctly remember the last conversation I remember had with him where we wished each other the best in our respective careers. I wish we stayed connected after high school and just recently, after finding him on social media, I was looking forward to having another conversation with him. I wish I took that opportunity. This tragedy hit hard, especially when I realized I won't be able to continue our friendship in this life. It's a tragedy to see someone like him with so much potential go so soon. Hopefully, all his family and friends will get a chance to reunite with him in the hereafter in Paradise. May the grieving family have patience in these difficult times. God bless his soul.

To know Bernard was to love him and to be loved by him. He brought light and joy to every room he entered. He was full of so much love and so much kindness. His smile radiated so much light. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this. I cannot imagine the pain all his family and friends must feel right now during this time. Bernard was a friend of mine, I knew and spoke to while attending St. John's. We had multiple classes together and he was always the person I knew I could talk to when I found it difficult to talk to others. Not only was he incredibly smart, he was the guy that always put a smile on other people's face. His presence would leave others in awe of how cheerful and uplifting he was in spirit. He had a soul that touched others wherever he went and I was just waiting to see where life would take him. He wasn't a close friend of mine but he was definitely someone that I would remember for the rest of my life because of the way he touched my heart with the kindness he showed me and others. He may be gone but never forgotten. This world has a habit of taking the good early and it really breaks my heart that he was taken from us too soon. I am so very sorry for your loss of such a dearly beloved soul.

I have such fond memories of Bernard being in my class at Port Richmond. He greeted me everyday with a big smile on his face and say ...Mrs. Gambino you look lovely today . He’s one of those students who made being a teacher enjoyable. I used to tell him he was going to be the President someday. He will never get that opportunity because God has bigger plans for him. Dear Veneziano Family,

I want to express my deepest condolences to you during this devastating time. I had the honor of working with Bernard, or as I called him, BERN for the past few years, and watched him develop from his start as a pre-hire to a full time underwriting position. He was wise beyond his years. His confidence and full of life personality left an imprint on everyone he met at ProSight. He was immediately a part of our “ProSight NYC office family”. We shared so many lunches and happy hours full of laughs and the best stories which are amazing memories we will forever cherish. There was never a day he didn’t have a smile on his face, and I will forever remember his contagious laugh. It was clear his family meant everything to him, he often shared stories about his parents and sisters, and we related on our funny Italian family stories. This news is truly a tragedy, and my thoughts and prayers are with your family always. I hope you find comfort in knowing you raised a remarkable person. I remember when we first met like it was yesterday.. we became good friends and even did ports Sing production... you were there for everyone. you always brought joy to whatever room or area you walked into. you helped me over come so many obsticals along the way. Bernard and I weren't super close, but he was a genuine person. We spoke many times of the future in high school, and he showed me a kindness unique to his personality. I am truly so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Bernie at SJU and clearly remember when Kathy Sabella asked if I’d be willing to give an ambitious young man a tour of our Manhattan campus. I said yes without hesitation and was lucky enough to meet Bernie because of it. He was kind, outgoing and so appreciative. I could tell from that first meeting that he was a great person who would go on to do great things. You did not deserve to lose him so soon and I am truly so sorry for your loss. I hope all of these beautiful memories help you find some comfort while you grieve. 

I am fortunate to have been part of the interview process that brought Bernard to Aon, and to have gotten to know him better for the month he was with us.

I can write with zero hesitation, we were  thrilled he was part of our team. His character, energy and values came across so quickly and profoundly. I have never met a 23 year old with so much confidence and drive. He was truly a special individual and we knew he was going to do great things at Aon. Mature beyond his years, intelligent beyond his years and an amazing personality.

Please take comfort in knowing you raised an incredible person. I know without a doubt he left a positive mark on many, as he did so with us in such a short time . I feel honored to have met him.

Admittedly I wasn’t super close with Bernie, but he and I were able to travel on several school trips together, and his presence was always a warm one. 

I consider myself outgoing, but Bernie put me (and all of us) to shame in that regard. He would often disappear for hours at a time, making fast friends with students from whatever part of the country we were in at the time. I envied and admired that about him as soon as I met him, his complete and utter comfort in his own skin. 

I can’t express how sorry I am for your loss, it seems literally unbearable to me.  Please know that everyone who knew him from St. John’s shares a small piece of your grief, and we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

The legacy of Bernard will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His big heart and personality were contagious. The laughter that Bernard brought to our family countless times in our home will always be a special memory.

I only met Bernard a couple of times at our La Befana feast, but his smile and overall energy left a lasting impression. He was a well spoken and intelligent young man. He had Hollywood type energy, the kid was a rock star.  I am broken hearted for the family. God bless the Veneziano family. Keep them in your hearts and in your prayers.

Bernard was a student in my 11th grade English class. I have fond memories of him, as do all the teachers at Port Richmond High School. His kindness and cheerful demeanor made him a favorite of staff and students alike.  I hope you will take comfort knowing he touched so many people, and changed their lives for the better.

We are so so complete devastated by this loss.  Bernard was a sweet, sociable, smart and handsome boy.  My mom remembers how he would come over and talk to her in the lunch room at PS 30... always asking how everyone was doing like a grown up.  I remember what a beautiful baby he was and how I loved coming over and taking pictures of him with Amanda for my photography class.  Pictures I will always cherish.  He grew up to be a beautiful man and person.  We would see each other occasionally on the express bus to work. He was always the life of the many Ragucci parties. We will always remember these memories.  He will be truly missed.  I pray for God to give strength to his family.  We love you.  RIP sweet Bernard.💔

I am so sorry this had to happen to your beloved son. Myself and many others went to high school with him at Port Richmond High School. Even though I did not know him personally, and only saw him in the hallways. Each time I saw him he was always happy, laughing and seemed like he truly lived life to the fullest. I pray for your family to heal in the best way possible and know that your son is always with you. I pray his soul is at peace with God, and he is watching over you all smiling down, knowing you all gave him the best life. I know you all are going through a tough time, but please remember to never give up on life, know that God is always with you, watching over you, protecting you every step of the way as Bernard will protect your family in spirit. As he may not be here physically,  he will always be with you all spiritually.
