Robert Donald Messer

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Catherine Messer of Lowell, NC; daughters, Debbie Moses and husband, Jody of Gastonia, Mary Teresa Grier and husband, Ronald of Mount Holly, Margie Kinlaw and partner Mike Kinlaw of Gastonia; granddaughter, Michelle Reed and husband, Patrick of Gastonia; great-grandson, Elijah Emory; and a brother, Malcolm Messer.

Robert was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Messer and great-grandson, Will Emory.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00pm Sunday at Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Gastonia. Rev. John Pruitt will preside.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00pm prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. The family wishes to thank the Hospice staff for all their support during their difficult time.
