Robert L. Cain Jr. from Mt. Holly, NC passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 10 2022 at the age of 74. Bob was born February 12, 1947 in Hall County, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nell, and his father Robert Cain.
Bob graduated from Garinger High in 1965 and then reported to the US Navy where he served for six years during the Cold War as a submariner. Upon returning to Charlotte, Bob attended CPCC and received a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology. He went on to a career in maintenance. He enjoyed traveling with the Mita Club of the Carolinas for 24 years and spending time with four grandchildren.
Bob was married to Pamela B. Cain in 1972. He is survived by Pam; his two daughters, Melinda Little (Shawn) and Amanda Gambrell (Joey), and his four grandchildren. Bob also has numerous family throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Bob will be greatly missed as he is on eternal patrol.
A graveside celebration of life for Bob will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury.
