Charlie Cecil Galloway, 82, of Stanley went to his heavenly home on Friday November 12, 2021. Charlie was a committed Christian. He loved his Lord and his family. He was born October 12, 1939 in Crenshaw, Alabama to the late Lucile (Davis) Galloway and Robert Edward Galloway. Charlie proudly served his county in The United States Army. His family and friends will dearly miss Charlie.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Charlie is survived by his wife of over 56+ years, Bobbie Kay (Hatley) Galloway and his four daughters Kathy Kelly and her husband Michael, Connie Blackmon and her husband Jimmy, Christal Caudle and husband Chris and Jennifer Seay and her husband Shannon. He leaves behind his grandchildren – Grant House, Amber Basinger, Victoria Blackmon, Ashton Seay, Cameron Blackmon, Evelyn Seay, Arabelle Caudle and Cadence Caudle.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Carothers Stanley Funeral Home, 412 S. Main Street, Stanley. The United States Army will accord full military honors to Charlie. The family will receive friends one hour before the service beginning 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Reverend Donald Newell of Hunter Acers Baptist Church will offer words of encouragement and hope to family and friends that gather to remember Charlie.
