It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Murry "Moe" Dienstag, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, who passed peacefully at his current place of residence in Stamford, CT on October 7th, 2012. He leaves us at the age of 87, after a 16-year valiant struggle following a stroke that had left him disabled. Moe is survived by his wife Trudy, daughters Karen and Meryl, grandchildren Farrah, Ariel, Kyle, Jared, Brett, and Grant and his great-grandchildren Teagyn and Gannon.
Moe was a medaled soldier, a talented cutter in the garment district, and his personal favorite, a pressman and department head of circulation at the NY Times. He had a quick mind for numbers, a passion for athletics and the outdoors, endless devotion for both baseball and football directed towards his beloved Yankees and Giants, and always a kind, generous, hand to lend a friend. He was a good man, with a big heart and a strong will, who worked hard and loved harder. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. Beloved by many, we look forward to sharing many wonderful memories of him in the days and years to come.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, 12pm October 10th at Temple Beth El, in Stamford CT. followed directly by a burial ceremony at the adjacent Beth El Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Temple Beth El or to Starfish Connection Inc. (starfishconnection.org) would be greatly appreciated. Further details to be given at services. An announcement regarding Shiva time and place will be forthcoming at services. Condolences may be offered at www.leopgallagherstamford.com
