Born in Putnam, CT, she was the daughter of Thomas J. O’Brien and Jessie Leroux O’Brien. She graduated from the University of Connecticut and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Pat spent her accomplished career advocating for children as a clinician and administrator in Greenwich Public Schools, Wilton Public Schools, and at Giant Steps School. She was a member of The Church of the Holy Spirit Parish. She enjoyed traveling, debating, and was a voracious reader. She will be remembered fondly for her devotion to children and her love of animals, most of all her dogs.
She is survived by a large village of friends and loved ones. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Jesse O'Brien, her brother, Thomas O'Brien, and her loving husband, Albert Hiles.

Funeral Service service to be celebrated following calling hours at Church of the Holy Spirit, 403 Scofieldtown Road in Stamford.
