Margaret A. McEvoy

Margaret A. McEvoy was know as "Peg" by all those who loved her passed away on Easter Sunday after a short illness in Stamford, CT. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Peg was a lifelong resident of Stamford. Peg is survived by her two sons, Kevin Patrick McEvoy and Mark Joseph McEvoy. She is also survived by her daughter in law Cathy McEvoy and two grand daughters Sarah and Catherine McEvoy. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph E McEvoy and her daughter Kathleen A. McEvoy The youngest of a family of six, Peg had two sisters Ann and Agnes and three brothers, Jimmy, Tommy and John all of which are predeceased . A graduate of Stamford High school and and employee of Pitney Bowes Inc and Electrolux as an executive secretary. Peg was a loyal member to the St. Leo's Parish in Stamford as well as the Royal order of the Hibernian's in Stamford . She was also a member of the Greenwich widows association.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 4pm-8pm. at The Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leo's Parish 24 Roxbury Rd Stamford, CT on Thursday April 12th at 10am. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien, CT.
