Born on May 20th June, 1933 in Manatí, Puerto Rico, to the loving parents Cristobal Cacho Vega and Monserate Avilés Ginés.
She graduated from Quiñones Superior School. During the 1950s, she was employed at the Pineapple Manufacturing Company. Though, this being her commencement into a life of service, the Lord had other plans. Her true calling was being a mother and caregiver to her siblings, nieces, nephews and elderly parents without ever have given birth to any children of her own.
She was a selfless, loving, giving sole with the spirit of an angel. Baptized as a Roman Catholic, she later followed her mother, brother Carlos and sister Yolanda as a Jehovah’s Witness. She enjoyed reading their literature and learning about the word of God.
She was a member of the Stamford Senior Center and enjoyed making friends and participating in activities. Most of all she loved spending time with her twin sister Carmen and favorite niece Ada (whom she loved like a daughter.) Both cared for her until the very end nursing and always by her side.
She is survived by her twin sister Carmen Caro, younger sister Yolanda Monzote, and younger brother Humberto Cacho Sr.
Several nieces and nephews: Agustine Espino Sr, Orlando Espino, Ivonne Cacho, Wanda Cacho, Carlos Cacho Jr, Rey Cacho, Madeline Talcik, Ada Caro, Ralph Caro, Raquel Cacho, Humberto Cacho, Glenda Diaz. Plus many great grand nieces and nephews whose lives she touched lovingly and memorably.
As was her most desired wish, Josefa is finally reunited with her predeceased loved ones in heaven: father, Cristobal Cacho Vega; mother, Monserrate Avilés Ginés; sister, Aida Cacho; brother, Carlos Cacho Sr; brother, Victor Cacho; brother, Francisco Cacho; and sister, Angelina Cacho.
We rejoice in certainty that Almighty God our father together with Jesus and the Holy Spirit welcomed her with open arms into his kingdom where she’s finally resting in peace and eternal happiness along with her loved ones.
