Franklin George McGregor affectionately known to everyone as “Phantom,” was born on February 19, 1942 to Icylin Anderson in St. Catherine, Jamaica West Indies, where he excelled in mechanical engineering, and fixed anything that involved his hands. He immigrated to the United States with the love of his life Sonia “Happy” McGregor in 1984 to provide better educational opportunities for his children. Franklin was blessed, as he was able to see the successful endeavors of his children.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling, hosting parties, laughing, and listening to tunes on his sound system “Sugar ‘N’ Spice.” Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with the love of his life Happy of almost fifty years, along with his children, and grandchildren.
Franklin McGregor departed this life on May 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother Icylin Anderson, and his two sons Nigel and Marlon McGregor. He leaves to cherish his memory ten daughters; Joy, Annel, Marsha, Sheree, Michelle, Kadianne, Avion, Shannon, Kerri-Anne, and Taneika. He also leaves his six sons; Garfield, Franklyn Jr., Courtney, Rohan, Sheldon, and Brian. His legacy lives on through twenty-six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
