Ethel Marta

Born on March 25, 1929, in Stamford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Somody Marta.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Marta of Stamford, and many cousins.

Ethel was a member of the Stamford High School Class of 1947 and was active in its reunion committee. She was employed by Pitney Bowes for ten years prior to moving to San Francisco in 1957 where she was employed by Pacific Gas & Electric for thirty years as executive secretary to senior officers.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, with a service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Stamford.
