Elizabeth Hazel Sibilio, a lifetime Stamford resident, died Monday March 8, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Manor in Trumbull. She was 92. Born March 14, 1917 in Stamford, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Thomas Murphy.
Elizabeth Hazel was the first resident at Harboursite in Stamford. She also was a dedicated fisherman.
She was predeceased by her son Salvatore, her brother John T. Murphy Jr. and a sister Alice Corbo. Elizabeth is survived by her son Richard J. of Redding, her brother William T. Murphy of Stamford, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6-8PM on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St. Stamford, CT. Interment will be held on Thursday at St. John Cemetery, Darien, CT.
