Dorothy “Dot “ Devoto Pesce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully on January 29, 2022 at 94 years old.
Dorothy was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 3, 1927, not far from Coney Island. Her family moved to “the country “ (Hollis Hills, Queens ) when she was 18 years old. She had a happy childhood and loved to share memories that included bobby socks, jitterbugging, seeing Frank Sinatra at the Paramount and summers at the lake in Monroe, NY. She was proud of having received her BA from Queens College in Spanish with a minor in Portuguese and even more proud of her career that followed. She worked for E. R. Squibb and Sons in the International Department on 5th Avenue in New York City for ten years which is where she met Tom, her loving spouse of forty years.
More than anything Dorothy cherished the love of her family and maintained close relationships with all, even hosting her traditional Italian Christmas Eve party this past year.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Tom, her parents George and Mary Devoto, her sister Gloria Ricioppi and brother George Devoto. She leaves behind her three children Tom Pesce, and his wife Dianne, George Pesce, and his wife Teresa and daughter Gwen Pesce She also leaves her grandchildren Michael, Christina, Ashley Lauren and Rachael, and great grandchildren Kinsley, Kamdyn, Leah, Silas, Brody and Brooklyn
