Anamaria was born on June 7th 1951 in Tehuitzingo, Puebla Mexico. She came to the United States in 1972 and settled in Yonkers, NY. She married Braulio Disla in 1975 and together they bought a home and started their family. A new job opportunity brought them to Port Chester, NY where they lived for 16 years and raised their 4 children. Her drive to provide a better life for her family pushed her to take chances where many would not of and together with Braulio they opened their first grocery store. All of her children have memories of working the register, stocking the shelves and stacking milk crates. Those who knew her would describe her as hardworking, strong, family oriented and proud of her family. She was referred to as the matriarch because she truly was everyone’s mom, not only to her children but to her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Anamaria succumbed to liver cancer and died peacefully at home with husband and children by her side.
