Obituary of Luis Alberto Mendoza
Luis Alberto Mendoza, 63 of Locust Grove passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital surrounded by loved ones.   He is preceded in death by his father, Rafael Cristobal Mendoza Sr. He is survived by the love of his life, Ivette Alberto Dominguez; mother, Nelly America Beltran; brother and sister-in-law, Rafael and Susan Mendoza; Sister and brother-in-law, Monica and Oscar Salvador; sister, Rocio Mendoza; and nieces and nephews, Kathlene, Jackie, Oscar, Chris, Savannah, Alex, Kameron, Karina, Mila and Callaway. Along with 9 aunts and uncles, 86 cousins and many, many more friends. Luis was a full time Washington Football Team fan from the minute the family moved from New York to Virginia in the 1970s. His love for the team was so strong that on the night of the 1983 Miami v. Washington Super Bowl game, after he unexpectedly had a life changing car accident, he immediately wanted to know who won the game that night. You’d never find him without some sort of Washington gear on, whether it be an iconic scarf, a HTTR shirt or a burgundy and gold hat. His love for the team was endless and unwavering, which is applicable to his love for his family and friends as well. As for being a brother, no one could compare. As for being a son, he was the most considerate. As a partner, he was unconditional. Beyond measure he supported all of his nephews and nieces at all points of their lives; from their birthdays, to graduations, to performances and to their weddings and starting their own families. He was the most caring person you could find and the most loving uncle a kid could ask for. Luis was loved so dearly by all who had the luck of being in his life. He made you feel appreciated, supported and absolutely loved. He will be forever missed. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00 am, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. The family asks that you wear burgundy and gold or any Washington Football Team gear. Online condolences may be sent at www.mullinsthompsonstafford.com
