James Edward McCormick Jr.

James E. McCormick, Jr. is survived by his wife, Grace McCormick, and sons Brian McCormick and Christopher McCormick. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. McCormick, Sr. and Eleanor McCormick, and his brother, Jeffrey McCormick. Butch joined the Marine Corps as a reservist in 1973. In 1977, he became a commissioned officer and a naval aviator. He was stationed in California, Hawaii, Okinawa and Pensacola, Florida before returning to the Northern Virginia area to work at Quantico in program management. Butch retired from active duty as a Lt. Colonel in 1996 and went to work for the federal government as an acquisition program manager. In his spare time, Butch enjoyed the company of friends, fishing, the outdoors, and watching his sons play sports.
