Irene Theresia Keator

Irene T. Keator (Scheibengraber), 84, entered the gates of heaven on Wednesday March 23, 2022. Irene was born October 30, 1937 in Landshut, Germany to parents Georg and Therese Scheibengraber. She had six brothers and three sisters. She was married to Richard L. Keator and they raised five children; Gisela Gazdecki, Yvonne Elfstrom, Erich Keator, Dianne Miner and Hervey Keator. Irene was a dedicated Executive Housekeeper in Alexandria, Virginia for over 40 years, receiving many accolades for her service. Some of her hobbies included playing bingo and trying her luck at the casino. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Georg and Therese Scheibengraber, husband, Richard L. Keator and her daughter, Yvonne E. Elfstrom. Irene is survived by her daughter Gisela I. Gazdecki (Gary), Erich R. Keator, Dianne D. Miner (Leland) and Hervey A. Keator (Kristin). In addition, left to cherish her memory are her 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will missed by all of her family until they meet her again. A service will be held at St. William of York Catholic Church in Stafford and interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
