Christopher was born in Ochsenfurt, Germany on 24 August 1992. Christopher was an avid hunter, fisherman, builder, gun enthusiast, and enjoyed working on and riding motorcycles, trucks, and cars. Christopher earned the nickname “Tumbles” when he crashed his Harley this past August. Christopher never hesitated for a moment to lend a helping hand or help another person in need. Christopher loved his family and friends. One could not ask for a better Son or friend.
Christopher received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer in March of 2016 and had also recently completed an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University in May 2017.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Charles “Dean” and Thekla McCoy (Stafford Va.); Brothers Jonathan (Bad Windsheim, Germany) and David (Aberdeen, NC), Grandfather Elmar Merkert (Hemmersheim, Germany and Grandmother Carolyn Lopez (Noblesville, IN). Christopher also leaves behind 8 Uncles, 3 Aunts, and 19 cousins. Christopher is also leaving behind his beautiful girlfriend Taylor Norquist and his second family Steve and Sherry Norquist, and Ciara and Justin Hong.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service in Stafford, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
