Ben was committed to supporting the military and was a former employee of the Marine Corps marathon office for over a decade. He was an old soul and had a variety of passions, he enjoyed bass fishing, history and Western movies. His music genre varied from old school R&B to country music and even Metallica. He enjoyed NASCAR and of course his number one sports team was THE Ohio State Buckeyes football. You would often find him wearing a Buckeyes hat and jersey year round. His number one commitment and passion were to his three children. He loved them deeply and they were his light and commitment to always do better and be better. His interaction and complete love and support for his children were consistently displayed at all times. Ben was the best gift-giver. He thought very deeply about what was the one item that would be the most impactful and appreciated.
His love extended to others, was a reflection of his love for Christ. He had a Bible in his lunch box, a small one in his wallet, and several in his home. He listened to the Bible on tape regularly. He was committed to be the best Dad he could be. A man of few words, he had a kind soul, great sense of humor and a big heart. Ben will be greatly missed by his children, parents, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Autism Association in his name.
