Robert Leon Schoppe passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in Sugar Land, Texas. He was 64 years old. He was a resident of Missouri City, Texas for 26 years.
Rob was the owner of Drop Dead Pest Control, providing pest control service to the greater Houston area since March 14, 1983. He was an active member of the Greater Houston Pest Control Association and multiple online forums where he provided guidance to the next generation of pest control business owners. Rob enjoyed cast-net fishing, gardening, walking with friends, rock and roll concerts, and offering advice to all those who sought it or didn’t.
Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura Kirby Watson. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Jean Garcia and his son, Roy Vernon Schoppe and their respective significant others, Jamason Garcia and Hazel Scott.
The family would like to thank the excellent care and comfort provided to both Robert and his family by the Sugar Land Methodist Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff.
