RITA KELLY, 86 passed peacefully on April 26, 2014 in Sugar Land, Texas. Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband Harry, and is survived by her four children: Jim, Kathy, Tom, Susan and nine grandchildren: Laura, Michael, Dennis, Conor, Fay, Eamon, Kevin, Curran and Betsy. Born in Philadelphia on February 8, 1928 Rita moved to Houston in 1988 to be close to her children. Taking a job at Kate Bell Elementary allowed Rita to become "Nan" to not only her own grandchildren but to all of the children in her SW Houston neighborhood. Rita was never happier than when doing things for her family. Her love and support will be greatly missed. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, 11027 S. Gessner Dr., Houston.
