PATRICK EMMETT CROOM, 72, of Missouri City, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born in Thibodaux, LA on September 21, 1941 to Emmett and Lucille Crume. Pat graduated from Cathedral High School in Lafayette, LA and received BA from Southwestern Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, LA. He served two years in the US Army. For the last 35 years he owned and managed various real estate properties. Pat is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol, his son Paul Croom and son Mark Croom, his wife Jeanette and their son Ethan and stepdaughter, Jasmine Gonzalez; his sister, Janet Jaeger and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives. Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He also loved traveling around the world with friends, hiking and biking, flying gliders, playing cards and dominoes and having a good time. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 9:00pm Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, Texas 77477, where a rosary service will begin at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be at 1:30pm on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth Street, Missouri City, Texas 77489. Immediately following all are invited to greet the family in a reception to be held in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat’s memory to: Society of St Vincent de Paul at Holy Family Church, 1510 Fifth Street, Missouri City, Texas 77489 as Pat had a generous heart and was very supportive of helping those less fortunate.
