1927-2016
EDMUND LOUIS HINES, age 89, was welcomed home to the Lord July 3, 2016. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 9, 1927. Edmund attended St. Thomas Catholic High School, class 1943. He was a proud World War II Navy veteran. He married Mary Ann Embesi, the love of his life in 1953, and raised four children. Edmund was well known in Sugar Land, TX, retiring as General Manager of Fluor Daniel in Sugar Land. He served Fluor Daniel for more than 30 years as well as a faithful member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Sugar Land, TX. Edmund was known for his loyal commitment to the Lord and enjoyed his local church family.
He leaves behind four children, their spouses and family; James Hines and his wife, Beverly; Daniel Hines and his wife Cathy, Cindy Pillsbury, Christopher Hines and his wife, Lisa; 9 grandchildren, Kristiana, Kaitlin, Kelly, Patrick, John, Emily, Justin, Danielle, Michael, Marissa; and 3 greatgrandchildren, Cash, Lottie, and Gwyneth. The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to Lulu, a great friend and loyal caregiver.
Friends are invited to a visitation and celebration with the family from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday July 5, 2016, at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, TX, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, TX. The Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer, Houston, TX.
