Don was born on November 11, 1943, to Elvin and Althea Ebersole in Upland, California. After graduating from high school in Covina, California, in 1960, he went on to study engineering. He landed his dream job as a piping engineer at Fluor Daniel, where he worked for 46 years.
Anyone who knew Don also knew that he was the most loving husband, father, and papa a family could ask for. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Donna, and their children Charlene and her husband Steve, Patrick and his wife Kim, Shaun and his wife Carolyn, and son-in-law Joe; his brother, Ken and his wife Pam, his grandchildren; Chris and his wife Danita, Krystine, Brianna and her fiancé Grant, Caleb, GraceAnn, Connor, Ben, Ellee, and Lizzy; great-grandchildren Jayde and Skyler and soon-to-be Owen, and many extended nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sons Brian and Christopher, and a premature baby daughter; his grandson Christian, and numerous other friends, relatives, and beloved pets.
Don was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his family and always tried his best to support them in all aspects of life.
Don was also a passionate hobbyist. He had many talents, including building model airplanes and boats, wood-working, leather-tooling, crafting knives, woodcarving, photography, and videography. He also enjoyed many recreational activities including riding motorcycles, camping in his RV, hunting, fishing, and being a dog dad to Molly and Addie.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, located at 12555 S Kirkwood Rd, Stafford, TX 77477, on Monday, February 1, 2021, from 5-7pm (come and go as you please). A memorial service will be held at Triumph Church Sugar Land, located at 10555 W Airport Blvd, Stafford, TX 77477, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 2pm.
