On December 10, 2018 we lost one in a million, maybe even 1 in 2 million. We had only a brief 76 years with a true gem, a star an honest, loving caring human being. We can all be proud to call her wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Christina Deluca, aged 76 left us peacefully at home in bed with a smile on her face. She was surrounded by family, friends and her beloved pets and many people who had gone before her. It comes as no surprise she left this earth surrounded by life and love as that is how she lived. She was a true friend keeping confidences, promises and her word to everyone she met. Awaiting to see her again is her amazing husband of 53 years, Frank, her 2 loving daughters, her 3 grandchildren, in-laws, outlaws and by-laws and her multiple family members in the UK. Christina was a very active member of her church in every state she lived in during her life. She brought the word of her savior, Jesus Christ to those that were in her sphere. She lived a life of integrity and love. She was also a lover of the natural world and was a fierce gardener, killer of weeds and lover of dogs. May we all follow her lead.
Tina DeLuca was also a fierce warrior. She fought for her life every day. She was given a death sentence in 1975 of breast cancer. That didn’t stop her. She was diagnosed again. Again, she fought and won the cancer battle. Christina never stopped fighting or loving her friends and family. We all wish you to honor her memory in whatever way you see fit. She loved us all.
She will be missed by all who were lucky to come into her world.
She will watch over us all until it is our time to join her.
And so I will say to you as her colleague would say “Live long and prosper.”
