CHERYL LYNNE SMITH, age 43, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011. She was born in Houston, TX, on August 4, 1967. Cheryl graduated from Clements High School, in Sugar Land, TX, and later earned a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Lutheran College, in Sequin, TX. She taught high school English in both Alief County and Fort Bend County. Cheryl loved reading, knitting, and gardening. She is survived by her mother, Barbara A. Smith, of Stafford, TX; father, Calvin L. Smith, of New Waverly, TX; brother, David E. Smith and wife Mai; loving friend, Eutimio Espanol; niece, Dana Smith; and nephews, Simon and Steven Maaland. A Celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, June 9, 2011, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 12111 West Bellfort, Stafford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Saints Lutheran Church.
