My condolences to my friend Dennis's life partner Carol Moore and his family on his untimely death.  I remember many good times in Florida with Dennis and Carol.  He was generous and fun and made life interesting for all.  I know he will be missed but remembering his  outgoing personality and generosity will bring comfort to those who knew and loved him. May his life be for a blessing.

I always remember my handsome 2nd cousin. It was a family joke how I used to get when I was around him which unfortunately was not to much.  I was on one of his fights once which at the time was my  fiance who is now my husband.
He made an announcement on the over the intercoms  about us fod the whole plane to here and sent us a bottle of champagne.  He was a beautiful soul!

So sorry to hear about Dennis💔 I was a flight attendant out of St. Louis and flew with Dennis quite frequently. He was one of my favorite pilots, always had a great big smile and a story to tell. He always had our backs! So sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to you & your family🙏

I was a Flight Attendant for TWA, based at ORD, and frequently flew with Denny.  He was one of the first pilots I got to know after coming online and I truly treasured his friendship.

To have had the opportunity to travel to America is something I never took for granted & I’ll always be thankful & appreciate the experiences Aunty Carol and Uncle Denny gave myself and my younger sisters. 
I was an impressionable 15 year old when I first met ‘the king’, he was funny, charismatic & a force to be reckoned with! 
At 22 I returned to America for 3 months, I was naive and immature but Denny’s influence meant that on my return to the UK I had grown in both confidence & maturity, going on to buy my first house not long after. 
We laughed constantly & had so much fun together, be that watching Monday night football or a good Disney movie, teaching me how to drive the truck or sailing around the gulf and not forgetting sneaking off to the bar for a sea breeze or two! 
Don’t get me wrong he wasn’t the easiest to live with at times, we shared some cross words, mainly about cleaning or folding his clothes correctly but he was a perfectionist & we grew to understand one another & I loved him dearly. 
I feel very lucky to have had him in my life. Thank you Dennis, love always your S.I.T Nina xxx

Denny and Carol have been great friends for over 20 years. We will miss his smile, sense of humor and generous spirit. We are thankful for the good times we shared.  Godspeed my friend. 



 

Through my aunt, Carol Moore, I first met Dennis when I was 11. He was funny,  a little bit grouchy and very generous. I remember mini-golf, exploring the Gulf of Mexico on his boat and lots of ice cream. I returned to America aged 20 and Dennis took me under his wing - he taught me to sail, waterski, kayak, canoe, drive a speedboat, a motor bike and, most importantly, made me ‘clean house’ with a fastidiousness that has stuck with me until this day. He helped to make a more confident version of myself and I was always greeted with his lovely smile and a friendly arm punch when we saw each other in person or via FaceTime. I loved to talk to him, hear his stories, ‘take the mick’ out of him and will miss him dearly. Lots of love to all of the Franco family and Carol at this sad time. Cherie xx 

Dennis blessed so many people with his humor, faith and kindness. Praying that the family will find comfort in their memories of him and in the knowledge that others are missing him, too.

Dear Scott and Leslie , 

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I don’t know if you remember me but I am the daughter of Mary and Rudy Prehnal.  We were all so young then but I have so many great memories of your Dad… funny as hell. And all the Knights of Columbus volunteer work we were all involved in. Loved also flying TWA when your dad was the pilot.  😂😂😂😂 …. He made everyone so happy.

I am still in Illinois…. And friends with your Dads group of friends here.
