Carolyn M. Auksel, age 85 of St Pete Beach passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, at The Palms of Pasadena Hospital in Pasadena, FL. She graduated from East Chicago Washington High school in 1957, East Chicago, Indiana. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 61 years Pete D. Auksel of St Pete Beach, FL, daughter Cheri Auksel-Sliwa and son-in-law Mike Sliwa of Highland, IN. Also, grandson Matthew Byquist and wife Malana and granddaughter Samantha Byquist and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Katherine Sunny and son Peter J. Auksel. She had several friends and was well liked throughout the entire area. Carolyn was loved and will be missed by many, but not forgotten, because of her outgoing personality and kindness. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Jude Cathedral, however date and time are still to be determined.
