94, of Ocala, Florida and formerly of Treasure Island, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala. She was born June 24, 1921 in Phildelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Danielo and Elizabeth (Rogers) Lopez de Leon. She and her late husband, Walter W. Lester, Jr. moved to Treasure Island in 1974 from Bromall, Pennsylvania. Betty was an active member of Pasadena Community Church as well as Faith Church, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Barnhill; grandchildren, Philip and Yvonne Azeff, and great grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Azeff.
Graveside services held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to One Great Hour of Sharing at Pasadena Community Church or Faith Church Ministries in St. Petersburg.
