Retired After 37 years at 3M
Age 69, of Hinckley, formerly of St. Paul & Pine City, passed away on September 30. He stayed strong until the end; fighting the good fight against many medical battles, including 4 types of cancer in the last 5 years. East Side baseball & hockey coach for 20+ years; past president of Phalen Youth Club; past president of Pathfinder Village Assoc. in Hinckley; served 8 yrs. on Pine City Council & was an EMT for 10 yrs. for Pine County ambulance. Preceded in death by parents, William Quentin & Helen; brothers, William & James; sister-in-law, Ginny. Survived by his 8th grade sweetheart & wife of 51 years, Elaine (Peltier); daughters, Becky Metz (David) & Sandra Tacheny; sons, Doug (Brenda) & Brian (Donna); 14 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Don & Phil (Marlene); sisters-in-law, Gerry & Ozzie; many nieces & nephews, extended family & dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to ACS Hope Lodge. Funeral Service 11AM Wed. 10/8/14 at Hazel Park Congregational Church, 1831 Minnehaha Ave E, St Paul, MN. Visitation 4-7PM Tue. at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave, St. Paul and 1 hour prior at church. Private interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
