Sharon Kay Schroeder

Of Oakdale

Passed away on April 11, 2015. She is preceded in death by parents, Harold and Edna (Roecker). She is survived by beloved spouse, Margaret Mary Keating; sisters, Diane (Dennis) Janning, Jeri (Joe) Coleman, Kim Nobiling; 7 nieces and nephews; 9 great-nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. Sharon was a graduate of Kuemper HS of Carroll, IA and later a teacher at her alma mater; a 30-year member of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration; graduate of Viterbo College of LaCrosse, WI; teacher at several schools in IA and at St. Rose of Lima and St. John the Evangelist in St. Paul, MN. She worked PT at H&R Block while working 16+ years at Land O' Lakes as an Analyst. She was a 20+ year melanoma survivor and 15+ year ovarian cancer survivor. Special thank you to Golden Living - Lake Ridge and Aseracare Hospice. Liturgy of Christian Burial at 7 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Spirit of St. Stephen's Catholic Community, 2201 1st Ave. S., Minneapolis. Visitation from 5-7PM. Interment Westside Cemetery, Westside, IA. Memorials to Spirit of St. Stephens or to MN Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
