Rudolph Julian Dunn Jr.

Rudy (AKA Sonny to his parents & sibs) was born on Jan. 2, 1932 in St Paul, MN. Preceded in death by parents, Rudolph J. & Bertha, siblings, Jean, Bud, Joyce & Butch & their spouses.

Survived by the love of his life, Darlene, his wife of 70 years; sons, Rick (Camille), Dennis (Bonny) & Scott; grandchildren, Ryan, Cassie (Dan) Fries, Rachael (Matt) Janas, Mikaela, Sam (Kat Southard), Rob (Katelin Wilcox), & Louis (Logan); great-grandchildren, Luca & Annie Fries, Ada & Wells Janas, Henrik, Rosalind & Hugo Southard-Dunn, & Arthur Dunn.

Rudy was a proud 1950 graduate of Monroe High School. He served in the Air Force with the 92nd A & E Maintenance Squadron during the Korean War, and received the "National Defense Service Medal". Rudy worked for 3M Co. starting & ending in St Paul, MN. He and Darlene made many new friends when they moved to Omaha, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Always together, Rudy and Darlene loved to golf, take bike trips with friends, travel and spend time with family, especially their grandkids. They wintered in CA for many years. Rudy will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Maplewood, Minnesota (2410 Stillwater Rd E), Visitation at 9 AM, Church Service at 10 AM and Luncheon to follow.
