Happy 91st Birthday ma!  It's been almost 3 years since you left us. I think about you all the time. My hibiscus plant finally bloomed after 2 years, I guess it wanted to wait until just before your birthday to show it beautiful red blooms. Red was your color. Thought and spoke of you on Thanksgiving. I remember one of the last times we drove up to Sissy's for Thanksgiving. You were so sure I had gotten us lost. I smile when I think of conversations we've had.

Granny, It seems this time of year brings so many celebrations, transistions, and change along with loss mixed with so many emotions. I know everything happens exactly at the time and the way its suppose to happen but its still hard to adjust. I feel you in my heart and see your ways in the way I speak to and raise my own children. She was an amazing lady and the most single most important person that changed my life. Thank you Granny for the best life you gave me. I cherished those special traditions events, goofy sayings we had together and now share and embrace those same things you taught me with my own children. Loved and sorely missed.
