Born 4-22-1922 in St. Paul, MN to Paul &Vina Allie. Died 4-6 2013 in St. Paul, MN at Marian of St. Paul Cerenity Senior Care Center. Fr. Allie is survived by his sisters, Yvonne Allie, Mary (D. Eugene) Bova, Joanne (Lew) Mason and Kathleen “Kathy” Ryan, and special friend, Dorothea Lusson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fr. Allie was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Vina Allie (nee Labore), his brothers Paul, James, Raymond, Henry, Gerald, Donald, and his sisters Josephine Cooper (nee Allie) and Theresa Weber (nee Allie). Fr. Allie Graduated from St Henry’s Preparatory Seminary in Belleville, IL in 1945 and from the DeMazenod Scholasticate of the Southwest in 1948 and 1952. He professed first vows as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate at St. Peter’s Novitiate in Mission, Texas on 8-18, 1945. He was ordained a priest on 6-2-1951 in St Paul, MN. His 72 years of service as an Oblate Priest included teaching at St. Henry’s Seminary in Belleville, IL; He was Mission Procurator for the Oblates, and bursar for King’s House of retreats in Austin, MN and for the Oblate Novitiate in Godfrey, IL. He was also Director of the Oblate residence in St. Paul, MN and administrator at the Tekakwitha Children’s Home in Sisseton, SD. Pastoral duties included Sacred Heart Church in Jim Falls, WI, St. Michael’s Church in Northome, MN, Director of Chaplaincy at Madonna Towers in Rochester MN and most recently Chaplain at St. Paul Ramsey County Hospital in St. Paul, MN. After his retirement in 2003, he was a frequent confessor to many people in the Archdiocese of St. Paul, especially at St. Paul Cathedral, and was most generous to the people of God whenever and wherever he was able. Visitation will be 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 10 and also from 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 11 at Marian of St. Paul Cerenity Senior Care Center Chapel . Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Jim Brobst, OMI presiding (assisted by Deacon Don Fidler). Burial will be at the Oblate Cemetery in Belleville, IL, 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 13. Memorials to Fr. Allie may be made to the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
