Passed away peacefully at the Christian Community Home in Hudson, Wisconsin, on February 21, 2016. A native of Dover, Ohio, Bill resided in Norco / Corona, California, before moving to Hudson, Wisconsin, in 2007. Bill was a chemical engineer earning his degree at High Point College in North Carolina and completing graduate work at Ohio State University. Bill was a World War II veteran having served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and was a true patriot. One of his career highlights was working as a chemical engineer in the space program at Cape Canaveral, Florida, contributing to the beginning of space exploration. Among his favorite pastimes were riding & showing his beloved horse Shadow, watching football (a devout Ohio State fan), and spending time with family. Bill was preceded in death by Father, Alvin Victor Horn; Mother, Lillian Hisrich Horn; Wife, Dorothy Irene Moser Horn. He is survived by Brother, Daniel Victor Horn; Son, Alvin "Bill" William Horn, Jr.; Daughters, Vicki Irene Mjanger-Segelstrom & Jacki Marie Peterson; 7 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren. Private family graveside service with military honors will be Friday, March 4, 2016 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity are preferred.
