Willa Mae was the epitome of the word Mother. She had a caring and loving heart and would help anyone in need, often giving to others before helping herself. She enjoyed spending time with her church family, and was known for baking some of the best sweet dough pies around. As well as being the matriarch and homemaker, Mrs. Skipper worked with Martin Mills and later as a home aide caring for the sick and elderly. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Skipper is survived by her children, Bridget S. Savoy and husband Dennis Savoy, Colette S. Joseph and husband Stanford Joseph, Roderick Skipper, Tamara Skipper, Jermaine Skipper and wife Shysha L. Skipper, Jamie Skipper and wife Natalie P. Skipper and Crandall Skipper; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her sisters, Virgie Pete and Shirley Mouton.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Skipper, Sr.; her son, Harry Skipper, Jr.; and her brothers, Donald and Milton Pete.
Members of the family will serve as pallbearers.
