To the Hamilton Family,
I don’t get on Facebook a lot but today I saw your Father’s obituary. I grew up in Colfax when your family lived in Weimar. Your dad was the Stake President at time. Your sweet mom was my Mia Maid teacher. A few years later your parents took my husband & I through the temple. We didn’t have a close family member to take us. That will be 45 years ago in November. I have always been so thankful that they took the time out of their busy lives to go with us to the Oakland Temple. They were a couple you could use as an example for marriage. 
I am very sorry to be so late in sending my condolences of your Father’s passing. I hope you are comforted & blessed by the memories you have of the dear man! May the Lord bless you with sweet memories when you think of him.

Lloyd and Pat were “neighbors” of mine in Denver when their beautiful Granddaughter fell in love with my son. They were gracious to me, and I enjoyed time with them in my home and theirs. Wishing God’s Blessings to all the family, and especially Mrs. Hamilton. Sincerely, Carolyn Beard

I knew Pat and Lloyd in Danville Virginia back in 1961 or 62 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints they made a big impact on my life I'm still a member of the church I remember them well with fondness my wife and I used to babysit Mark and his sister my prayers are with + 4 his family I know Lloyd is walking and talking with Jesus now God bless you all

Sister Pat teaches my son and me piano at my home, so we could meet Lloyd sometimes. Every time I saw him he gave me a big smile. During the lesson he was always reading books.  He really loved to read. At the end of the lessons he looked very tired, but when I asked him if he need to lay down he gave me back a warm smile and said” I’m ok, thank you ! You are so nice!”  He was so warm and a lovely person. He was a patient need to be taken care, but he concerned other people. Pat sometimes talked about Lloyd, I can feel they love each other very much. Every time if I am not in a good mood, thinking about them makes me feel better and gives me energy.

Pat and Lloyd introduced my father to the gospel of Jesus Christ, and they called him son.  After I graduated from high school, they let me come live with them for a summer.  They called grandson.  I love them both.  They helped kindle my love for the Lord.  I am so grateful that they “adopted” my father into their family.  I am grateful that they shared the gospel with my father and with me.  Grandpa, I cannot wait until we meet again in Heaven.  Thank you for your love and example.  I will never forget you!

I only had the chance to know Lloyd for a couple of years in Signal Mountain TN. My favorite story of his was about attending the University of Kentucky when Bear Bryant was the football coach! He was an example to us all and will be missed. -Austin

Patriarch Hamilton gave me my patriarchal blessing. What a great man and beautiful legacy he has left behind. Prayers of peace for his loving family.

We have known Lloyd and Pat Hamilton in several capacities: parents of some of my best students (their children), Stake President, Patriarch, administrator at the Weimar Center and later Sierra-Nevada Hospital in Grass Valley, mentors and friends to both Marilyn and me. We enjoyed visits with them in both homes and have kept in touch over the later years and moves.
He was a fount of spiritual knowledge and personal insights. Sitting with him and discussing various aspects of the gospel always seemed rewarding and so completely natural. His love for everyone, soft-spoken manner and always pleasant demeanor. We always saw the love he had for Pat in so many ways.
One of the stories he related was giving the Patriarchal Blessing to his son and seeing, in vision, his future fiancé’s hand. From then on, each girl Mark brought home was subject to a hand comparison.
We also have so many memories of their family as they were growing up along with our children.

While serving as the administrator of the Weimar Medical Center in Weimar, California, he made arrangements for a meeting between my wife, Eleanor, who was on her death bed, though she was in her mid twenties, and reputedly the most celebrated internal specialist in Northern California, Dr. Theodore Bachrach. She had been to numerous specialists in Northern California, all of them puzzling over her condition and neither knowing the cause of her problems nor feeling confident enough to attempt to do anything to help her. Given the worrisome state of her condition, it was most fortunate and an answer to many prayers that after discussing the matter with Mr. Hamilton, he succeeded in having a breakfast arrangement with my wife, Mr. Hamilton, and me. Dr. Bachrach would not take just any patient, particularly avoided patients related to lawyers and legal firms, but seemed very interested in taking on a specialized medical problem that other doctors had failed to diagnose properly. This knowledge of this unique but also peculiar attitude of Dr. Bachrach, understood so well by Mr. Hamilton afforded his persuasive ability to help convince him to take Eleanor as an outpatient and over a period of time with careful scrutiny and superb diagnosis rescued her from certain death. If there was ever an example of a stand-in for our Father in Heaven, to whom we had appealed in much fasting and prayer, it was the miraculous assistance of Mr. Hamilton to whom we justly pay our life-long sense of gratitude and recognize the hand of God in his deportment toward us then. 
May his wonderful family members know how grateful we have always been and will be for their influence in our lives as a consequence. Their association with us for that period of time and some years later while they lived in our area is greatly appreciated. We reach out to each of them at this time with gratitude to him and to them for this long association although many miles over the years have separated us. David D. 

Lloyd always made an extra effort to make sure to treat ladies with the utmost respect. One was not allowed to go through a door, or get out of the car unless he opened the door for her. I remember having to get back into the car on several occasions as he would scold us girls for getting out before he got to open the door!!  Little did he know that I learned from his example.  When  I first dated my husband to be I noticed him doing that also and knew he must be a keeper!  
The last time I was able to visit Lloyd he did not recognize me and in fact did not recognize his own granddaughter some of the time. Amazingly enough though he always knew that Pat was his loving wife. About every half hour he would say to me , “ Isn’t my wife just the sweetest thing.”  My heart is happy that he has completed his mortal mission but so sad to see him go. Love to all of you and especially Pat. Love you Betsy. 

Although I have known Lloyd for only the past 11 years, I found him to be a wonderful kind man, full of humor about each days challenges. A hard working man who Loved his Pat! He is my example to follow as a husband. So Giving and willing to be of help when ever needed. He shared his home with me and my son during a very trying time.  I will never forget that generosity. 
And a Great cook of Cornbread and Ruben Sandwiches too.
