Ron was the beloved husband of Karen (nee Smith) Hanna; loving father of Jill (Mark) Pagano; dearest grandfather of Jordyn Bozich and Ava Pagano; dear brother, uncle of Chad (Stephanie) Smith, and friend. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Myron and Dorothy Hanna; special dad to his furbaby, Lucy.
Ron was born in Saint Louis at attended Mehlville High School. He served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and fought in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he met Karen Smith through her brother, Don Smith, and they married on August 8, 1970. Together they had a daughter Jill.
Ron was an employee of National and Schnucks Markets for many years until his retirement. After he retired, he decided to go back to work in the construction/remodeling industry.
Ron enjoyed fishing, Cardinals baseball, and spending time with his daughter, his son-in-law, and granddaughters. He and Karen loved going to Branson together.
Ron was silly, funny, loving, never met a stranger, and always had a positive attitude. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6 from 4-8pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. A prayer service will take place at 10am Thursday, March 7 at the funeral home before processing to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be bestowed.
