I was a classmate of Robin's in Barnes School of Nursing Class of 1965 (later called Class of 1968).  She was a very nice person and I extend my sympathies to her family.

Robin was a truly nice person and a wonderful nurse.  The pediatric population was very lucky to have her.

I remember the camping trips at Washington State Park.  Hiking on the many trails and then eating and drinking upon our return to our cabin.
Also the wine trips with Robin, Diann Lutz and Tammy Kraus.  Peace .

Robin was such a special lady who touched so many lives.  So many memories, I don't know where to start.  One of the fondest was in South Carolina.  We rode our bikes to a restaurant on the beach.  Only problem was by the time we were done neither of us could ride our bikes so we walked down the beach under the light of a full moon.  We sang/danced and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  I will never forget the influence she had on me and my career.  So loving and caring.  She will be truly missed.  Sorry for your loss.

The Meadows Family

Robin and I worked closely together a few decades ago at SLCH.  She was a valued colleague.   She was far ahead of her time in her ability to lead from her position as a nurse:  the PAWS unit, the development of protocols for management of feeding tubes, the design of care plans and parent education for central lines were all projects that she originated and spearheaded.   Before it was routine, she knew that parents and families could learn how to manage the most complex of medical care at home.   She inspired us all to serve our families better. 

Robyn RIP...she was a trooper and fought until her little body couldn’t hold on any longer.  She loved Matthew, Kelly and her darling grandchildren. I met Robyn in 1982 when I worked in pediatric surgery as a secretary and she was our division nurse.  Robyn always had a smile,  and was a fun and compassionate person.  Robyn touched so many lives in an amazing way....she will be missed, but not forgotten.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I met Robin in 1985 while provide home care to patients from St. Louis Children's Hospital.  She was an amazing teacher.  I learned so much from her. Much of that knowledge, I still use today and share with other medical professionals at St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Robin will always be near and dear to my heart. When I became sick during my pregnancy and had to deliver my daughter 12 weeks early, Robin was one of the first to come visit me at Barnes ICU. She monitored my daughter while she was in the NICU at St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Knowing Robin was looking out for my daughter gave me great comfort.  I had great respect for Robin. She was a wonderful nurse and colleague.  I will always remember her.

Fond memories of Robin from years ago when her sister, Pat, and I were roommates in an apartment in University City.   We got to know each other well during those years (late 60's/early 70's), and I remember a very friendly caring person.  My condolences to her family.  Kathy (Nottmeier) Shoults

I, like so many others learned everything I know about caring for children from Robin. She made nursing fun, exciting,  and gave everybody a hunger to want to learn more. I have so many memories of working together on 8E, which was the surgery unit at Children’s, particularly as we cared for children with burns. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how much you’ll miss her but I hope your memories provide comfort and happiness during this hard time.


In 1979 Robin opened the world of pediatric nursing to me and I have loved it ever since.  Her support helped me through many things in my life. She was the best!

Always always loved when Robin came in to the Haven with her family. So enjoyed talking with her. They came into the haven at least 3 to 4 days a week and she always had a smile on her face.  She loved her glass of wine and we loved talking about the Cardinals. Loves the family. 
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I loves her. She was so awesome and she loves her family. 

So many memories. I am thankful for each and every one. One of my favorites is watching her sing along  in St. Augustine at a mid century themed bar. We drank out of leather cups.  She was so happy:)
