Meredith Linn (Williams) Siegel (53), a beloved wife, mother, relative, and friend to many, unexpectedly passed away on the evening of December 14, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish West County West Hospital, Creve Coeur, MO.
She was the daughter of Nancy Williams of St. Peters, MO, and Willard Williams of Fort Smith, AR. She is survived by her husband, Peter Siegel, her son, Samuel Siegel, and her daughter, Kyra Siegel, all of Olivette, MO. Meredith is also survived by her two sisters, Carrie Fisher of Norfolk, VA, and Melanie Kanatus of Chambersburg, PA, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Meredith met Peter shortly after moving to St. Louis in 1989, sparking a relationship that became their lifelong journey together. Her commitment to her role as the head of Team Siegel was paramount, but she extended that nurturing and caring spirit to all facets of her life as an elementary school teacher, Controller at Sense Corp, and a cherished friend to her various communities.
She had a deep love for Hershey's chocolate and a good pair of shoes. Meredith enjoyed outdoor walking, exploring local greenways and paths, hiking trails around Phoenix and other desert mountains, reading a good book, watching her son play soccer, cooking with her daughter, and attending sporting events of her favorite teams: the Cardinals, Blues, and St. Louis City.
Meredith's passing was a complete shock, and we are still processing it as a family. We plan to hold an intimate, family-only memorial service on December 19, 2024.
There will not be an open house, and we kindly ask that you do not show up unannounced. However, Peter, Sam, and Kyra will be available from December 20-22, 2024, for individual or small group visits or calls. We have truly felt the love of our extended family and community and will definitely need support. Please text Peter to coordinate if you'd like to connect during this upcoming weekend.
More importantly, we will be planning a Celebration of Life, as Meredith wanted, for the summer of 2025. Details will be forthcoming, and this event will be open to any and all who have been touched by her and want to celebrate her amazing life. It will be a happy, celebratory event with no black clothes, good music, dancing, and sharing of stories, just as Meredith wished.
Meredith loved to discover a new greenway! In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make contributions in her memory to the Great Rivers Greenway which is committed to maintaining and expanding amazing greenways in and around the St Louis region. The link Great Rivers Greenway follows below.
The family requests that you visit https://www.online-tribute.com/MeredithSiegel to share memories of Meredith and for additional information.
