Marcella P Foerstel

FOERSTEL, Marcella (nee Pearce), 89 of St. Louis, at peace on August 24, 2014. Loving wife of 67 years to late Chris Foerstel Sr.; beloved mother of Chris A. Jr. (Linda) Foerstel, Carol (Charles) Richeson and the late Michael (Mary Beth survives) Foerstel; dear grandmother of Elizabeth (Brad) Peuster, Zachary Foerstel, Brian Foerstel, Jason (Brittney) Foerstel, Mindy (Justin) Brooks, and Beth (Jim Schreck) Richeson; loving great-grandmother of Natalie Peuster, Alexander Peuster, Joshua Foerstel, Jillian Brooks ,Parker Brooks and Kellan Brooks; dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Marcella was a determined and feisty lady. She was an educator, first teaching in the Mehlville School District and later became the director of Reading for the School District. As an active member of Zion United Methodist Church she served as an organist and was well known for role playing historical and Biblical characters for groups and church activities. Marcella was a devoted mother, phenomenal grandmother and great grandmother and loving mother-in-law. She will be missed by many, but especially her family. May she rest in peace.

Marcella's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bethesda Southgate along with the hospice care givers for all their help and support.

Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1603 Union Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125. Family will receive friends at church from 1-3 p.m. until time of service. In memory of Marcella contributions are encouraged to the church.
