Born July 12, 1931 in Fulton, MO to the late Wallace W. and Clara Owen Weeks. Beloved wife of Paul R. Embree; dear mother of Janet (Joe Manser) Embree and Bob (Betty) Embree; dear grandmother of Anne Schumer, Nicole (Nick) Martin, Paul, and Jim (Robyn) Embree; dear great grandmother of Madison and Ethan Todd, Gage and Hunter Martin, Mason, Taliesin, and Cyrus Embree; dear sister of the late Wally (Lois) Weeks and Betty Ann (Dan) Johnson. Our dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Lillian graduated from Normandy High School in 1949. She fell in love and married Paul in 1951. She and Paul founded Embree Roofing in 1964, building a strong business and many friends along the way. Lillian and Paul retired in the early ‘80s, moving to Corpus Christi, Texas. Lillian enjoyed Padre Island, combing the miles of beach for shells and other great finds. Her greatest find was a sunken ship, authenticated and appropriately named “Lillian’s Wreck”. Lillian took great pride in her years of work with the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History and valued her many friendships there. Throughout their lives, Lillian and Paul traveled the United States, missing only 3 states. Their adventures provided many fun stories. She and Paul moved back to St. Louis to share their later years with family and friends. She always nurtured her creative side; drawing, sewing, painting, and beading. She loved her family and friends foremost. We will always remember you.
The family is planning private services and burial.
Memorials in Lillian’s honor may be made to the St. Louis Area Foodbank or a charity of your choice.
