Kenneth David Harrah, 50, of St. Peters, MO went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 7, 2018, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in rural Indiana. Ken was born May 24, 1967 near Parma, OH, son of Linda (Beebe) Harrah and the late Kermit Harrah. He was a 1985 graduate of Normandy High School. He was a loving husband to Cynthia (Tamplin) Harrah who survives. They were married December 21, 1991.
Ken graduated from Cincinnati Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Christian Ministry and a Master of Arts and Master of Divinity in New Testament Studies. He was a New Testament scholar and received recognition for his accomplishments in Greek studies. He served as minister of the gospel for 16 years in several churches in Ohio and West Virginia. Ken was a faithful member of Kirkwood Road Christian Church in Kirkwood, MO, serving as an elder and teacher for the past eleven years. He enjoyed memorizing large portions of scripture, including the sermon on the mount, many of the epistles, and portions of Revelation. Ken had a great love of books and collected a large library.
He received an MBA from Ohio State Fisher School of Business. During the last 18 years Ken has worked in manufacturing advancing in his technical, engineering and leadership skills at Ahresty Wilmington Corporation in Ohio, Spartan Light Metal Products in Missouri and most recently at Metal Technologies, Inc. in Indiana.
In addition to his wife Cindy, Ken is survived by his mother, Linda Harrah of Parma, OH; three children: daughter, Rachel Marie Harrah, son, Jonathan David Harrah, and daughter, Chloe Dee Harrah of St. Peters; three sisters: Sue (Dan) Roberts of Fayetteville, GA, Sandy (Ted) McKown of Kent, OH, Sharon (Dave) Romel of Olmsted Township, OH; one brother: Dale Harrah of Parma Heights, OH. He was son-in-law of Jack and Dee Tamplin of Wilmington, OH; brother-in-law to Julie (Steve) Brown of Milford, OH, Susy (Clif) DeRome of Portland, IN, Jack (Carey) Tamplin of Owenton, KY; grandson-in-law to Franklin Simpson of Wilmington, OH; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Kermit Delmer Harrah.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14 at Kirkwood Road Christian Church, 529 N, Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122, with Glenn Hart officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 pm Tuesday, February 13th and 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kirkwood Road Christian Church.
