Jean Marie Knapp

95 years old, born October 10, 1927 passed peacefully on February 9, 2023. Jean is the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Jerome “Jerry” Knapp. Loving mother to Mara Lorbert and Dr. Paula Knapp-Baker (Dr. Greg Baker). Adored by her four grandchildren, Kaylin Lorbert, D.D.S., Brandon Lorbert, Jackson Baker and Dylan Baker. Beloved sister of Mary Ann Kirchner.

Jean grew up in St. Louis and attended Rosati-Kain High School. She worked at Monsanto as a Customer Service Representative for over 36 years. She was a member of Sigma Alpha in the Delta Pi Chapter, a Business and Professional Women’s Sorority.

Jean and Jerry loved to travel on many adventures over the years. They had many good times at their lake house boating and enjoying time on the water with family and friends. What brought Jean and Jerry their greatest joy was spending time with their grandchildren and watching them grow to become the loving persons that they are today. She always made time to attend their activities and sporting events and was their number one fan.

Jean was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be truly missed by many.

SERVICE: Funeral Mass, Tuesday, February 14th 9:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at Pernod and Hampton. Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
