Beloved husband of Lydia S. Friedman; dear father of Julie and Brad Friedman; grandfather of Amarah Friedman; dear brother and brother-in-law of Roberta (Louis) Glaser and the late Barry (Rachel) Friedman; dear uncle, cousin, friend and source of light, life, love and good humor to many more people than he'd approve of us listing here.
Up until and including the very day he took ill, he did what he loved most: traveling and being with his wife, playing golf, and otherwise enjoying life to the fullest. May his mighty drive and consistent ability to overshoot the green inspire and encourage us all to embrace lives of joy, passion, kindness, adventure and laughter for years to come.
His bountiful love for family and friends is equaled only by his incomparable, endless devotion to Lydia, his soul mate and partner of 57 years.
While we know he will be dearly missed, we hope that his deep generosity of spirit and passion for life will be as dearly remembered by all of those whose lives he touched over the years.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 29, 10:30 am at Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63132. Visitation at 10:00. Interment following service will be at New Mt. Sinai Cemetery, 8430 Gravois Rd., 63123.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice in hopes of making the world a brighter, happier place in his absence.
