F. Lorraine Dowling

Lorraine was born in 1923 at Gillespie, IL, daughter of the late Simon Genetti and Angeline (Cheski) Genetti. She was married to Francis M. (Fritz) Dowling on April 8, 1967. Preceded in death by sisters, Sister Mary Wilfreida Genetti, RSM, and Alvera (Genetti) House. Survived by her nephew William G. (Patricia) House, Amesbury, MA and their family as well as Mike (Cindy) Dowling, John Dowling, Mary Ann (Tim) Grace, Patricia Dowling, Linda (Charlie) Grover, Tim (Juanita) Dowling plus many grand nieces and nephews from the Dowling and Kilkenny families.

Lorraine was a graduate of Gillespie Community High School and St. Louis Business College. She worked many years in the accounting field for St. Louis companies. In addition she was active at St John, the Apostle and Evangelist Church, plus with her sisters in many local charities affiliated with the Sisters of Mercy.

Visitation Friday, July 24, beginning at 9:00 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am both at St. John the Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church, 15 Plaza Sq. Burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Arrangements by HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL MORTUARY.
